Was he forced to do it?

Doubt it, the apology is to kenny and the club, not the media and Evra. Kenny obvs was disappointed with him after the game for not putting this matter to bed for good, regardless of suarez still feeling vindicated. Hope this ends now, nothing else can be said or done that will change anything.

He has released a statement saying he was sorry and he should have shaken Evra hand. What a lowlife. If I were Evra I would reject it as totally false. The worse scumbag is Dalglish who has been behind all this to upset Evra and United.

    Of course he was.

He even said it was after talking to the club - basically I think Kenny has given him a bollocking and told him to apologise.

I'm glad he has though as even if you love or hate Liverpool they have a deep history and traditions associated with them and I for one enjoy our rivalry but this whole affair has been very damaging for them ( and us in some part).

Notice the apology isn't to Evra it's to Liverpool for letting them down.

There were some Liverpool fans claiming it was Evra who refused to shake hands <laugh>

Yes, he was probably told to do it by his manager. But then as has been pointed out, the apology was to Liverpool and Dalglish, and not to Utd or Evra. So I really don't care.

Also, please stop flinging abuse at each other, I think I can safely say that 90% of users have had enough of this. Don't want to start having to ask for 7 day bans so certain users (from both clubs) can calm down...

As the apology is to Liverpool, the manager and the fans it is irrelevant to the rest of the football world who will still consider Suarez to be scum.

He had to apologise. That is the most important point. Dalglish had to release a humiliating statement.

So he lied to the club. Wow. Just goes to show if he's willing to lie to his own manager/team mates what else would he lie about <whistle>

Good point. The FA was 100% right. I think Dalglish is the one behind all this. His response to the Sky reporter showed it. He wanted to use this unsavoury incident to his advantage.

The Liverpool statement says "However, all of us have a duty to behave in a responsible manner and we hope that he now understands what is expected of anyone representing Liverpool Football Club."

He understands that Liverpool Football Club will support a player found guilt of racially abusing an opponent so he's in the right place.

Please do! been really impressed with the attitudes of some of the United fans, (Swarbs, Conscrete etc.) But their are fans from both sides who are determined to keep this whole affair going.....we both have got big cup games this week, and we sjhould be looking forward to that instead of going over yesterdays ****.

well done on the result by the way.....it was deserved on account of you were the better team yesterday..

All we need now is a fulsome apology from Dalglish who has been behind this all along. There is news that he is releasing a statement soon.

Too little too late. This Is all his fault.100%. He said Suarez should not have been banned and this encouraged the scumbag. His apology was pathetic and I believe that the FA should really tick him off.

You said you needed an apology and would put it to bed. Now you refuse. I expected nothing less from you. Im off to to talk about football and leave you to moan about a subject that in my eyes has been put to bed. Liverpool fans could ask for an apology from fergusin for his outlandish comments yesterday, but we just want this over.

Can you start messaging a few of our lot who have been doing all they can to start arguments by intentionally cross boarding threads and making the same threads on the same topic. You know who they are.
