AP - 2 or 3 players?!

From the press conference: AP: we'll use the money to buy '2 or 3' #nufc

So they've said they'll put all the money into improving the playing staff, yet we're only gonna sign 2 or 3 players?! So basically we're gonna sign 3 £12 million players or 2 £18 million players. Yeah right, i think this shows we'll hardly see a penny of the £35 million + from the Carroll sale.

It depends on the quality of player we're after. I'd be happy with 3 players worth about £10m each that are actually an improvement on what we've already got. Considering Tottenham bought Van der Vaart for £8m, we have no excuse to not bring in quality in the summer (obviously we won't get deals like Van der vaart, but that calibre of player is available for the money we have!).

But we surely couldn't pay the wages of £15 million strikers? Tbh i would like the money to be spent on 5 or 6 players as our squad is really thin.

True. Didn't really think about wages. All the strikers we have been mentioning on here would take £50,000 a week though (thats the wage cap, right?) and if they dont, then they obviously only want to join us for the money - and thats not what we want, so **** em!

I really like the idea of signing Dempsey, and he wouldnt cost £15m
 
We will really struggle to get anyone in of real quality like Van der Vaart. Maybe we would pay the 8m transfer fee with the Carroll money but we certainly wouldn't pay the wages. Dont VDV is on 30k a year do you!!!

I always thought Dempsey was an AMC? Could be wrong though
