Lot of talk from fans and the press for the need to bring in an attacking midfielder.

We've been predominately linked with younger talents but why not true AOC in there for pre-season and see how he does

He has undoubted talent and despite limited appearance had an impactful first season under his belt

He's mobile, quick footed, intelligent and robust...the role allows for less defensive responsibility (not that he's bad with that) and his speed in that position would undoubtedly push the opposition defence back

Is this not the Wiltshire role?

With AOC + Podolski on the left
Gervinho + Giraud in the middle
Walcot + AOC on the right?

I think we've got some good options in MF and up front - even if RVP goes and we don't sign anyone else.

But - I still think we lack some depth, and it's cost us so many times before.

How many times have we been able to field our strongest eleven over the last couple of seasons?

I still think we need to buy another CM and if RVP goes, another striker

I think the squad is pretty good this year.

    Sz
    Sagna-Kos-Verm-Santos
    Song-Arteta-Wilshere
    Walcott-Giroud-Podolski

    On the Bench- Gibbs-Ramsey-Gervinho-Per-Rosicky-AOC

I don't think the squad is weak at all. When that first team is fit, is AOC going to make the bench? Is Rosicky, How about Ramsey? A huge part of our success or failure this season is going to be whether Podolski and Giroud fit in quickly, and if Wilshere and Sagna get back quickly. If they do, then I think we are golden. I agree we have looked weak in previous years. I don't see that this year.
