Automatic promotion is very much our aim when Cardiff City visit the KC Stadium on Saturday. The Tigers know that three points against the Welsh side will see an excellent campaign rounded off in style and guarantee top flight football in East Yorkshire next season. However, in line with The Football League, we have to have a contingency plan in place should the need for a play-off semi-final arise. With a very short turn-around between the final game of the season and the commencement of the play-offs, it would be an extremely busy time for the Ticket Office and for supporters and with that in mind, we have put the following plan in place for our Season Card holders: Season Card holders can pre-book their seats for a possible home play-off leg now and avoid the queues at the Ticket Office. There is no risk as payments will only be taken if the game is to take place. http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/article/potential-play-off-form-800161.aspx I think, regardless of any potential ticket office issues, I'd probably have waited until Sunday before putting this up on the site.
Not negative at all. You can take it anyway you like as many will do. The biggest problem at the moment imo is the attitude of many supporters. FFS, think positive.
Slightly annoying that there's no way to per-book if you don't have a chequebook.....don't want some glory hunter stealing my seat!!
With this whole digital data card business surely everything can be more modern than a fecking form and check.
Correct. Dont think we have a choice. NB. If Crystal Palace win @ Millwall tonight then IF MASSIVE IF the worst happens on saturday we Wont play either Brighton or Palace in the PO semi's. 6th place looks like its for Bolton unless they mess up there home game with Blackpool.
I'd sooner play palace in the semis out of the lot who can realistically make it. Or forest even more, because they're really really ****ing ****e, but I don't want them to make it and I'm sure they won't.
It does seem a bit premature because (according to FL web site) we don't even know which days we MIGHT BE playing. We're guaranteed 3rd at least but until Forest are confirmed in/out and if in 5th or 6th (the latter of which may be decided tonight if Palace win) then the FL won't confirm the dates. I don't know why this is this case but see for yourselves at the link http://www.football-league.co.uk/ch...ship-play-off-dates-confirmed_2293322_3139269
Sounds a sensible reaction from the club. Being prepared isn't the same as being negative. Given the queues and speed recent games have caused problems for, this is a no brainer and if we go up Saturday won't cost anyone a thing. Was just thinking about the playoffs, and I'm actually quite hopeful for them. We wouldn't be playing bottom teams which would be a disaster for us as we've been ****e against them. We've seemed quite capable of beating the leagues better teams and grinding out results. Maybe it will all work out ok in the end regardless of Saturday. NB Im not saying I want to be in the playoffs, I really don't, but it just might not be as a bad forgone conclusion it will be made out to be on here.
Erm the dates are confirmed on your link... The npower Football League Play-off Semi-Final dates have been confirmed as follows: 1st leg (match A) - 6th v 3rd - Thursday 9th May 2013, kick-off 7.45pm 1st leg (match B) - *5th v 4th - Friday 10th May 2013, kick-off 7.45pm 2nd leg (match A) - 3rd v 6th - Sunday 12th May 2013, kick-off 12.30pm 2nd leg (match B) - 4th v 5th* - Monday 13th May 2013, kick-off 7.45pm *If Nottingham Forest finish 5th the above order will switch. If involved, Nottingham Forest must play their home 1st leg on Thursday evening. The Final will take place at Wembley on Monday 27th May 2013, with a 3pm kick-off
Why must forest play on Thursday? Because they bribed the FL to give them that date? Wouldn't surprise me. Dirty, cheating, horrible **** little club that they are.
If we beat the stripey Nigels tonight (big ask as we are really **** now, but so are they) and Posh beat them Saturday, Bolton win on Saturday - the 6th placed team will be the winners of Forest and Leicester How would you fancy Leicester over 2 legs?
lol from the FB page on the announcement for this: Mike Smith: I am not a season pass holder for this season but have a season pass for next season, does that count? Adam Evans: No, you're a glory hunter. Mike Smith: City could do with less fans like Adam Evans. I travelled many, many years with Simon Gray when City had an average gate of 6,000. Only a hundred of us would go to Carlisle and Exeter. Don't remember seeing you?. Then back at Boothferry Park, sure youre not the glory hunter? Adam Evans: I've been going since 1992 my friend. You had to stop going because your wife is ill? But she's recovered enough just in time for the Premier League season? Give it a rest, you glory Hunter. Chris Puckering: Mike Smith, looking by you cover photo you're a Man Utd fan? Yes, Mr Smith's background image is a Man U one with Champions 2013 on it. I hope some of these are on here...go on admit it if you are! Especially Adam, legend!
