I wouldn't want any rushed decision based on tonight. He should only be replaced if the board has lined up a suitable alternative. The worst thing we could do is just bring in any old person and neglect the long term vision of the club. We don't want to be one of those teams that seem to have 2 or 3 managers a season.

Oh God, Roeder has a better win ratio than Hughton.

But it would not be a rushed decision, if it were to be made.

Maybe not, but the point stands we must bring in a well thought out replacement.

Up to a point, what you are saying makes sense as we are in the middle of the season, and time is running out fast.
On the reverse side of the coin, what we have is simply not working.

Well, Hughtons position is verging on untenable. Lets put it that way.....

Indeed it may not be working, but you look at how many clubs have said that then made a bad appointment and its gone down hill from there. Just saying they must make sure they have a good replacement and not settle for anyone. Look at how many times average managers have been employed taken a team down then done the same elsewhere. Costs the club a lot and a lack of stability.

We have been so cruel to Leeds, taking all their best players. I think it's time for us to give something back, and I think you can all guess what it should be.

I said he should go after the Man City game as I could not see him turning things round after that. There was a temporary reprieve but even when we were scraping points we were hardly convincing. Can anyone remember our last decent 90 minute performance? It's been a while.

I would say the 4-0 win against West Brom last season, was the most complete performance we have had since returning to the PL, and many people will say the Baggies didn't bother turning up on the day.

I'd go for the game away to Man City at the end of last season.

We shouldn't overlook the fact that we are an extremely attractive proposition for prospective managers. We have a supportive board, wonderful owners, we're in a financially stable position and will have money to spend in any eventuality, we're something like the 15th best supported club in the country, we are a popular team among neutrals and have no serious geographical rivals. Oh, and a pretty decent squad of players. Oh, oh, oh - and the best fans in the world!

Yes, the board will need to make sure they get the right man, that is their responsibility - but we will have many to choose from.
