Ancelotti added: "I would like to stay here if I could find a club for next season. I don't want to name them, I want to respect them - but if I can't find a solution then I'll go to another country. "I want to manage a team or club that has ambition." 'I don't want to name them' seems to suggest he's already spoken to the club concerned but that nowt's been settled. He made it pretty clear that it was not a Manchester club - which leaves 18. Given that Wenger is well out of the mire now, Liverpool is highly unlikely to be unloading Dalglish, Pardew's doing far too well for it to be Newcastle, and Ancelotti's just been sacked by Chelsea, we can make that 14. Of the top seven, I can only think of 'Spurs if Redknapp is known to be getting the England job. Below that, the clubs with most ambition seem to be Villa, Everton and Stoke. I can't see any of them unloading their managers - Villa's only just signed McLeish, and Moyes and Pulis seem pretty settled. Thoughts anybody? He's clearly spoken to somebody. I think 'Spurs are probably front runners, but if it's not them ... can you see anyone else that might attract him?
Possibly you lot. He did say after last season he would have taken the West Ham job to stay in England. I think Spurs as Redknapp will be England manager after the Euros.
Bolton, Blackburn and wigan will be looking for managers soon. We won't. Short isn't going to sack Bruce this season imo. I can't see him moving north of potters bar personally so the spurs scenario seems spot on.
I tend to agree, Cest. I wrote on here a couple of days ago that I wouldn't be surprised to find we were lumbered with Bruce till 2014. But then I find it difficult to believe a single word coming out of SoL these last few months. I just don't know what to think about Sunderland. I thought Ancelotti had maybe spoken to Arsenal before Wenger began pulling up the table. But I still think 'Spurs is the most likely. I don't think he'd go to Bolton, Blackburn or Wigan.
Blackburn... Maybe doing ****e at the moment, but they have big plans, and are leading the way in the Indian market (only 1.4 billion population).
