Levy and 'Arry may have a surprise up their sleeve before the end of tonight? Another VDV signing perhaps? Or is this just wishful thinking?
Yes, 2 or 3 I reckon. With crouch potentially leaving and this report emerging (bad source I know) I think we could see another striker http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2011/08/31/2643941/roman-pavlyuchenko-wants-out-of-tottenham-and-says
Wouldn't mind a "surprise" Leandro signing. We'll probably just end up with Parker, which wouldn't be too bad, but we are screaming out for a clinical finisher.
Yeah I saw that one about Pav last too Spursroo. Can't say I'd be dis-heartened at it to be honest. Leandro would be great Solid, though I reckon Internacional will want a similar deal to the Sandro one and make him stay until the end of the Brazilian season.
Not a clue mate, though I'm pretty sure Internacional kept Sandro because they wanted him until the end of the season or to take part in the Copa Libertadores (sp?) so I'm pretty sure it's different dates to the EPL or something along them lines any way.
If Pav wants out, Hallejujah, praise the lord. I'd happily drive the useless plank out of our club. Some may call that a bit harsh but in my opinion he should be playing for the West Brom's and QPR's of this league.
He actually joined/ signed in March 2010 though didn't he? Maybe I'm just getting confused. Ignore me, too early in the morning.
There are two simultaneous and independent pyramids in the Brazilian football, the national pyramid, and the state pyramid. While the national competitions are organized by CBF, the state championships are organized by the respective football federations of each state (for example, the Campeonato Pernambucano is organized by the Pernambuco Football Federation). The national pyramid competitions starts in May and ends in December. The state pyramid has different duration and schedule in each state, but in states with clubs competing on the national first and second divisions, the main state championships run from January/February to April/May. Most states have at least one secondary tournament involving smaller clubs not in the top two leagues of the national championship, this lesser championship runs from July to December. Besides the trophy, it may award the winner(s) places in the main tournament or in the Brazilian Cup next year. Smaller states, whose clubs do not take part in national competitions have longer competitions, usually running during the "winter" months: April to October Hope this helps
YW, there´s also alot more stuff on there about the Brazilian League, but i think this was the relevant part. Also Spurs or Sex? you were correct he did sign in March.
As far as the rabbit out of the hat goes, it would be fantastic but if I'm honest, I'd be happy with getting Parker official at the minute - its doing my frickin head in all this constantly refreshing...
