After promotion last season, we had a squad who with half a dozen additions were capable of progressing. Ehab chose not to though. Pissed off Brucie, so a few weeks prior to the start of the season, we were managerless, Pre season, the players were trying to make light of it with the Algarve 9 (?). First few games, we had kids on the bench who Phelan chose not to play as he clearly didn't have the faith. Could we seriously compete in Premier League? I recall posting we wouldn't be competitive and relegated by xmas, Thanks to Phelan and Silva, we did remain until near the end.
No question where the blame lies though

Absolutely bang on

Are you heading back to the roundabout and pitching up a tent?

I was very confident we would survive in the PL this season and backed us with a few bob at various stages to remain.

Also consistently solid with that view on here - 'Kempton' has it bookmarked!

Around the start of the year I also recall some super computer predicting that Sunderland and ourselves would be relegated, Chelsea would win the title and Arsenal and Man United would not make the top 4.

There was no point in playing the games, we should just let the computer decide everything, :)
