Anyone play FM2011?

how long did nolan last in your team? MA is essentially playing a real life version. I like the guy and will be sorry to see him go, but sentimentallity has no place in competition.

Haha thats a nice way of looking at it, but you're right he was backup even in the first season. I've got him as a coach in the 2017/18 season cos unlike Mr Ashley I am one for sentiment.

I never have the heart to sell him. He lingerts in the reserves during his 2nd season and in his third he doesnt even make my Carling Cup teams. Sad really

Still there makes about 20-25 appearances a year, though Tiote, and another are first choice.

Nolan does get into the team from day 1 for me. Cabaye, Tiote and Barton switch between the 2 centre mid positions.

 

Beaski try Romario, brazilian right back is 16 at start of game if I recall correctly, then you got players like santon. TBH by 2018 you should have some awesome regens kicking about, I did a season with barce once and found a 19 year old french lb regen who was already at 4 stars.

You can also try Lovren, Trasch, De Silvestri. Danny da Costa.

Bought Cabaye in a new save I started 2nd by february, but in Jan liverpool activated his release clause of 9 mil, bought him for just under 5. (((



EDIT: about Nolan, always try to offload him and to be honest I won't be too gutted to see him leave in real life as long as we get decent money for it.

I'm in my 3rd season. Finished 9th, then 7th last season (qualifying for the EUROPA League). Nolan was a regular the first two season but now just a squad player. I always sell Shola, Lover and Raylor at the start to get the wage bill down. Got Zabaleta at RB, Taylor & Cahill at CB and Jose LB.

Joey wanted £82,000 per week to renew his contract, I offered £65k + add ons and he kept refusing so left on a free. He's went to WBA for £29k per week!

Sow up front is good, as is Ben Arfa in the gap and Diego in CM.

I got Barton on the same wages, with a two year extension, about 2 months before his contract run out, then sold him for 5 million to Tottenham, agent was the biggest pain in the arse ever.
