Most other times, and I normally would be optimistic about going to Bolton - but given our current form and away record, one does tend to approach the game with a certain amount of apprehension, particularly as the game is so important to both clubs. And as far as we are concerned, the key to the outcome obviously depends on what formation and team SB selects. For if he goes with a positive 4-4-2, with a RECOGNIZED STRIKEFORCE, then we may just have a chance of getting a much-needed three points.
Anyone who follows Sunderland is optimistic. Sure ain't for the glory... I don't think we are too far away from gelling as a team, but Bruce's tactical ineptitude is a major cause for concern. Bolton are never a pushover, especially at home, but we are approaching the point at which we NEED to start winning games likes this.
Scared, as I honestly believed we would have done better in a number of our games. Bolton are leaking goals but you need somebody to stick them in...
not confident at all..fully expect us to get beat. Be delighted to win a game against fellow strugglers, but I just can't see it. Be interesting come Saturday night if we do get beat and we are in the bottom 3, will Short decide enough is enough?
Confident about what though? Of winning? Not a cat in hells chance, even if that again makes some ask why I attend games. Of getting something from the game? Maybe if we play well and they don't. Of suffering another ****e 90 mins of negative horseshite from Sunderland? Absolutely. I just can't get myself gee'd up for the weekend at all.
Who can be confident, with a penchant for giving easy early goals away, playing wingers as strikers, midfielders as LB a guy with a great right foot on the left. As for Elmo, Catts etc. I could go on.. Of course Bolton could be worse than us...
It's a win win situation for most of us lads. If we beat Bolton it's 3 points on the board and mid table, downside being Bruce is alive and kicking for another week at least. We get beat of Bolton which is a distinct possibility and it's bye bye Bruce. However having said that I reckon we will nick it 1-0, the optimism is kicking in again maybe it's because I'm off the drink.
