Anyone missing BBC 606?

I know it's only a couple of days since it closed down but i'm missing that BBC 606 site.
I hope i can get used to this one, i don't know whats happened to JA606 i can't seem to open the website and i believe it may have crashed! Anyone any idea on JA606?

JA606 has had a DDOS attack. So thats why its down. Simaliar to what Sony had with Playstation network. Dont know why someone who try and hack into a football forum

Since 606 closed we have got busier on here with lots of new members which is great. More people that join the better. As i writing this there is 2 guests reading it.

Onwards and upwards ProudFox, i reckon after a while i can get used to it on here, the more that come across the better and also with JA606 crashed i expect more will be coming on here over the next few days.

 

Thank God for NOT606! When the Beeb anounced the closure of 606 I was really fed up, then NOT606 was recommended by a Foxes fan on the Beeb 606. Whoever that was - thanks!! I owe you big time - you've preserved my sanity.

 

For info only, the JA606 gys told me: "Pulled it after the DDoS attack, should be back up the start of next week, if not earlier." So dont despair, it will be back, just hope the ja606 v not606 feud doesnt start up again.

 

In 6 months time I am 40 so learning a new chat forum seems as alien to me as taking any notice of the top 40! I used to be very interested in the top 40 but then music was much better...

But the puzzling no show of JA606 has forced me out of my comfort zone. I joined Not606 ages ago but didn't use it much. I will probably post most on JA606 but I have been checking out not606 and Foxestalk so I might diversify a bit.

The rivalry thing between forums is a bit silly though.

You are all welcome and for the 40 year old I know what you mean. I'm 62 and it took me a few days but its worth it in the end. Always strange getting used to new things but BBC606 was closed, not our choice, so get used to the new we have to.

We just want to build a good forum that all the members get used to and any annoyance with ja606 is more a problem of a few poters who decided it was all our fault so wanted to spam us. I can promise everyone we had nothing whatsoever to do with any problems at ja606. We want you to stay here because you enjoy it not because you have no choice.

Stick with it, it gets easier.

Emilio, what needs to occur before the newbie tag disappears and a member tag appears?

 

And can anyone explain the stuff on the left - OK it's important for status/credibility but how does it all work - Yes I know its probably explained somewhere on this site but that means putting some effort into trying to find it, then actually reading it - I want someone to do the work for me!
