    So honestly, I want to know what people think. Do you think he will sign a contract, stay till the end of the contract or go in summer?
    I might just be asking this to get some hope but I missed the radio interview (just got back) and don't know a massive amount on the issue.

    PEACE I just have my opinion that we will sell our best players until Ashley goes and I base this on the past 10 windows . I'm no ****ing genius but there is a pretty ****ing pattern that emerges.

    My view on the Barton situation, have only posted a couple of times on the subject so have had some thinking time:

    Barton: As far as Barton is concerned, no blame on him, he's said that he loves the City and will take a pay cut.

    McKay: To be honest, yes I know he has a history of being a money grabber, but in this scenario, it is reported that there is a problem on the length of the contract, no monetary issues involved. Therefore I don't see that he is doing much wrong, I for one would much prefer knowing about this rather than just thinking that everything is going fine.

    Ashely/Llambias: Well, where do we start? There seems to be no issue for the contract here, so what if Barton wants 2 extra years, if you want him gone after 2 then you can sell him. I really can't see the logic behind their thinking, and, like most of you, am putting the blame 100% on them for this.

    Having said all of this, it could be a clever tactic be McKay to show the club that they aren't going to budge on it, and earlier there were some rumours doing the rounds that there had been a very good contract offered that the club were confident that Barton would accept.

    Overall, I think that we're being kept slightly in the dark and not all is being revealed as usual...
