    He's coming on in a few minutes they say but sounds like length of contract was one of the main reasons talks have stalled/stopped.

    Here's the story -

    Joey loves Newcastle, is agreeing to take a cut in pay and stay, but the club aren't offering a new offer. So it's nothing to do with Joey really, it's the club not wanting to offer a long contract.

    All Joey wanted was a 4 year contract and he'd accept a pay cut.

    That seems totally reasonable and even if we only get 2 good years out of him, he'd pay for the full four years and then some in half the time.

    ****ing disgrace NUFC
