Don't know quite what's happeneing with this board lately. Lots of unecessary anguish and recriminations between posters that goes far beyond the usual craic we used to enjoy. The only positive I can draw from this fiasco is that there seems to be little animosity between Cardiff members themselves. I hope those over here who've considered leaving the forum because of recent events have had time to reflect. Anyone up for a chat about a great weekend of Championship football coming up - and anything else for that matter? Well, it is Friday. Roll call please!
ME! I'm left! But the Prediction League may have taken a hit... We could be sucked into the chasing pack if we don't win this weekend... Happy thoughts all round!
I'm here Sparkey. Been keeping my head down with all the grief. Can't say I understand what started most of it, nor do I want to. A little light relief yes, a bit of banter, yes, but life is too short for the rest of it. On a footy front, slightly concerned that the pack are closing in. We've had a few hard fixtures, which won't get any better in the short term. Need to patch up a few bodies and get one or two replacements in. The top two are still within our reaches, but we are within the reaches of too many others. We need to go on a run and open the gap back up. Still a lot of footy to be played! Oh, and the small matter of Wales v Scotland. I'll scoot on to the rugby board for that as I wouldn't want to taint this board and piss anyone off.
morning all. Unfortunately this week has been a car crash waiting to happen but if we have lost regular posters over it, then the dark side has won A positive for us is that it didn't happen on the Cardiff board (cross-board threads don't count imo as they cant be controlled). As for the weekend, the top 3's fixtures all look winnable (on paper) so 3 pts is a must imo. I think we'll edge a close game although Leicester aren't setting the multi-million pound world alight. I've gone for a 1-0 but now I'm thinking it could be more open than that. Cracker, you're safe... just don't make Swamp angry...you wouldn't like him when he's angry... please log in to view this image
Swamp's a big pussycat since becoming a mod , i remember taking it on the chin a few times from him before he took an " official " role .
Great to see signs of sanity returning. It's Friday and we have a big sporting weekend ahead. A a win double for the mighty Bluebirds on Saturday and Wales on Sunday.
Present and correct (not politically though) Sergeant Sparks. I don't get what is going on other than we appear to be losing some regular, valuable contributors which is a real shame. Breezey - surely you could have found a better way than saying "taking it on the chin from Swamp". I didn't have you down (poor word choice again) as a spitter/swallower.
