If we have the highest number of individual players contributing to our overall goal tally,so far this season throughout the league? We seem to be peppering opposition goals from all areas of the field and our shooting rate is right up amongst the best.Don't know about others but give me a wide choice of goalscorers this end of the season over an out and out 20 goal striker any day as it keeps the Premiership buzzards at bay. Now in the January, that's a different story.
Yup - high scoring players take the headlines and alert the preditors for sure. Maybe the scattergun approach of our lot will keep us under the radar, but Whitt's overall performances so far this season worries me (does that make sense?) I'm sure both him and Malky himself are being watched. As an aside on the goal scoring front, anyone want to bet at what point MacNuggets will score one?
Bobby - I reckon we should play SuperKev and McPhail up front as our two-pronged strike force for the next one at Reading. Federici and Gorkss will be laughing so much that Marshall can slip past them and slot one.............
17 different scorers if you count the OG. I said a couple weeks back that the 'scatter gun' approach benefits us. Chops would score a hatfull in 6-8 games then not score for 6-8. In the latter 6-8 we would drop points as no one else was scoring. Now, add a 20 goal a season striker to the scatter gun approach.......... McPhail did score 3 in 07/08. I remember one being a deflection off his arse that he knew nothing about, but can't remember the other 2. We now seem to have midfielders who time their arrival in the box and don't seem affraid to put their laces through the ball. McPhail is more likely to make a pass than have a shot. Good to seem back to his best as a playmaker though. MM seems to be rotating his limited resource to our best advantage at the moment. Seems to be the signing of the season.
