Anyone Know Where These Guys Are?

NEIL WARNOCK admits to being so desperate to turn Leeds United into genuine promotion challengers next season that he was tempted to give today’s trip to Cardiff City a miss.

The Leeds chief has had a change of heart and will be in the dugout – albeit on his own.

Warnock told the Yorkshire Post: “Mick Jones (Leeds assistant manager) and Ronnie (Jepson, first-team coach) will not be with me due to being elsewhere scouting.

So spot Mick and Ronnie and we might be able to work out a couple of targets...

 

We have to send our matchday staff off to do scouting missions because there's only one man on our actual scouting team and he's mostly busy tonguing Bates' gunge-flecked arsehairs and nattering to Duncan Castles.

The epitome of a prudent and professionally-run club.

 

I heard one's in Edinburgh the other's in the Midlands.

 

Apparently there were '5 or 6' others out watching players today. God knows who they were

 

Trevor Gould lives near me, I have met him a few times and chatted with him, nice bloke his brother is Bobby and his son was the Scotland keeper. He does the odd bit of scouting from time to time for Arsenal mainly, they give him a call, he watches the player and then reports to one of the main scouts, I guess most clubs have small networks of local scouts.

 

Ben Fry, James Varley, Ben Parker, Gavin Rothery, the dinner lady and the kit man.

Shouldn't that read: "the millwall scouts took a beating in their brownies"?

 

The Millwall scouts have been seen at the Leeds reserves games.

 

Ah yes dressed as Brownies.

 

..... and singing the Billy Connolly song "in the Brownies ..."

 

Would make a nice change for songs to be sung in Leeds - usually only happens when we visit

If that was serious I would ask "any ideas who they might have been watching?"

I think TC's got confused between the Wall scouts and Leeds scouts, bless him.

 

I think their remit was players soon to be out of contract on less than £500 a week
