Reading the Evening Post today the legend that is Alan Curtis ,mentioned we should have 40 mill in the back pockett. Does that include the finishing place money? If not, how much should we spend to secure a third season in the prem?
Using a political word i still expect the board to be "prudent" so i would expect something similar to what was spent last summer with a couple of loans again,Would be nice if they spent a couple more million though.
No valley, my point is that we have to avoid second season syndrome, secure ourselves inthe Prem, and look forward to a third season
Loads of the money we were guaranteed from promotion etc was tied up in new contracts, bonuses and raises for existing staff, and improvements both on and off the field. Most of the money we'll get for next season will come from the finishing place in the league, I believe, and a new lot of TV money, but given the commitment to build a complex on Fairwood, I can't imagine we'll be spending big this summer, even by our standards!
Totally, but I don't think we'll spend huge amounts more than we did last season. About £15mil on transfers, I'd imagine?
a minimum of 4 players is required and when you count the wages then we wont get much change out of £20 million......hang on before you say pfffft.....we dont know yet if we will sell players on and if reports are right then with vorm and little joe alone would bring nearly most of that back in. ....dobbie if blackpool want him will have to cough up at least a million plus any others we dont need we can sell or give a free to ease the wage bill.....there will be plenty of money in the pot.......i have not included £5 million that we would get if we lose brendan to spurs. so we are in a good position as it stands to sort out a good team for next season....
According to The Sun, Blackpool made a tad over 39m last year. So according to them we get 13,819,031 as our PL equal share, then it's 582,099 per match shown live and 756,756 goes to the lowest placed team. West Brom finished 12th last year and made 45m, so we should have around this figure. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...qciDDw&usg=AFQjCNEoELTS-dIIkDqh7kXwV4N7XfabiQ
