Obviously I will not be taking part in the march as I am over here in Germany. It will be interesting to see how many do actually join the march. It is a march in opposition to the change in colour. A bit cynical how they are promoting it but I guess they need to get the numbers up.

At least they've said it's not a march against the club but still, how do you make your point without upsetting certain people and investors, who may take it as a slight on this sensitive day. Is it bad timing ?

I won't, our name is Cardiff City not Bluebirds United.

A couple of people with other motives than football.

The march is a non event now, with 27k+ down the stadium and a fantastic win over title contender favourites greatly overshadowing it.

nothing to do with me but if vincent has his way you will be cardiff red dragons before you know it, so you may want to reconsider your view on that one gransha, sky think that the cardiff fans have bought in to tans vision for your club i do hope that they are wrong for your clubs sake

good luck to bluebirds unite <applause>

Thanks for your input Mabon, IMO there is no chance of Tan renaming Cardiff City as Cardiff Red Dragons. He is very astute and knows how far he can go. The best news I've seen since we beat Man City is the number of Malaysian and far East posters on Twitter saying they support Cardiff City.

Being know as Cardiff City in our 1st Premiership year will make it hard to change that, we will always be known by every football fan world wide as Cardiff City.

Don't be so naive. The way a lot of fans have rolled over shows he can do what he wants.

As you're so well informed, why won't he announce that there will be no change to the name ? And what are the motives of BU if they are not confined to returning us to blue ?

A lot (well a few) other fans "roll over" when Sam tickles their bellies. Thank God he can't do what he wanted. Green and white wasn't it?

I think he done that but when the egg chasing reporter tried to trip him up he said "Never say never" I think most if not all former owners would have said the same.

Selling merchandise for profit, where were these angels who want to save our badge when Sam the Sham put that stupid St. David's cross on there ?. Wales are not known by a cross but by a Dragon.

    You've answered neither question;
What are the motives of BU ?
Why won't VT rule out a change in our name ?

It's been reported that 300 turned up for the protest at the castle start line , looking at the photos there must have been 20-25 prams and buggies ..... Are these little people counted in the 300 ?

    Dyskinesia,
You'd be better off asking Bluebirds United what their motivation is. Fine they are against playing in red but the way they promoted their march was not honest in my opinion. They seem to be marching to promote the clubs history which is something that cannot be changed. I support the return to blue, I think every Cardiff fan does but the BU lot seem to be changing into something more and I am not sure I support all their goals.
VT has repeatedly said there will be no name change and constant badgering from the press will not make the issue go away.

taff, right up until the rebrand was announced we were told there would be no rebrand. therefore tans word on anything like this cant be taken as gospel any more....

only a fool would completely rule out further rebranding if its a name change, or whatever......

At the end of the day if you got £120mil then buy the club, if not remember he who pays the fiddler calls the tune.

Swamp, I'm not ruling it out just emphasising the press are driving the issue and won't let it lie. How many times can someone ask the same question before VT says enough? All he need do is spit the dummy and we'll have a new name. It can be that simple and that decisive.

I question these peoples loyalty to the club, they are obviously sheep being led on a very dangerous path, wear blue if you want, wear red if you want, personally i dont think Mr Tan will rename us. But things like this dont help because anyone who has an axe to grind against us will also jump on this bankwagon, aka Jason Cundy and the rest of the crew on Talkshite.
