I've realised that it might just be possible for me to get Enschede for the final match in the group stage on 1st December. Any regulars here thinking of going? Maybe it could be as good as the trip to Basel in the snow 2 years ago (now that was really something special), but hopefully, we'll have sealed second place by taking 6 points at home before then.
Yes GS I'm going with a mate of mine. Really can't afford it but may not get another chance to see fulham in europe anytime soon so couldn't resist plus its pretty near. Travelling to and staying in amsterdam (got return flights from Luton for £50ish) as Enschede is supposedly a pretty dull place and is lacking an airport. Train from Amsterdam to Enschede takes around 2 hours and is about 35euros, so we'll just go there for the match then back to Amsterdam that night. Going from wednesday evening till friday morning, hugely excited about it! If you don't fancy the amsterdam option, on cottage corner people have suggested other options, such as flying Munster in Germany which is about an hour from Enschede (Enschede is pretty far east in holland) or perhaps eurostar to Brussels then drive on from there. However I'd expect these are slightly more expensive as you can get flights to amsterdam for next to nothing from most london aiports.
Was planning to go but can't make it. My wife who accompanies me to those trips can't travel so unfortunately is out... Unless it happens to be in Hague for business I might go on my own.
Twente isn't the final match of the group stages. We finish at home to Odense on the 14th December. But I hope those of you who go on the 1st have a happy trip and three hard-earned points to celebrate.
