Apparently he has been backed into favourite to replace MH. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/...manent-manager
That Keegan is now favourite to replace Hughes - i cant access oddschecker at work, and my 3G is utter pony so cannot check on my phone either
Who wanted a more attacking team, please not this moron, I cannot believe he got away scott free leaving England in the lurch after the Germany defeat
See for yourself boys. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/qpr-specials/next-permanent-manager
Keegan great motivator, crap manager... According to the odds only 3 in for it the rest are all rated as outsider. Anyone thought of Ince ? (duck)
I see Glenn Hoddle is 66-1. Good value that. Also, I notice you can get 4-1 on MH still being in charge at the end of the season. All joking asiide, that is good value if you believe he will turn it around in the next few days.
He's not even on the list! Maybe betting suspended. This would be a GREAT appointment IMO. OK he was crap at Man City, but so has everyone apart from Mancini. England haven't had anyone decent since Sir Bobby (RIP). He did wonders at Newcastle and at Fulham.
Oops. Sorry Stamford. I wasn't aware of that. I feel anybody who has been "out of the loop" for so long is not what we need.
Bet Victor is the only one showing that long list of names. Sven is evens, followed by Harry, then Benitez. All the rest are 66/1. All that means that someone has placed a £50 bet on Sven, 5 or 6 people have placed a fiver on Harry and one or two people have had a couple of quid on Benitez. If you phoned up now and placed a bet on any of the other names they would suddenly become the fourth "favourite". Just shows how many people are actually betting on this! Every time a newpaper mentions that XYZ might be the new manager there are some that will go out and place a bet - no matter how small - on them being right. The bookmakers reduce the odds accordingly ... just in case they are right.
An interesting perspective, WILMH. I always thought it brave, honest and honourable of him when he said,"I have had all the help I have needed, but I have not been quite good enough... I feel I have had more than a fair chance. I have no complaints against the media. There's no one to blame for myself. I am not the man to take it a stage further and I know that." Contrast this with the likes of the 'Wally with the Brolly'.
