Allyardyce is now available. Now I must admit his brand of agricultural football is not everybody's cup of tea (mine included) but if we are looking for an experienced manager with some success of getting teams to play above their weight he could be an option. Debate!
No thanks He'll hang around like a bad smell somewhere, then get a PL job with one of the strugglers come Christmas time, save them with his dull form of anti-football, then move on again.
He's more of a "help, we are about to get relegated" type manager than a "help, we are skint mid-table team who need years of investment and guidance back into the Premiere League" sort of manager. Moyes got the shove by the Hammers too. Lots of this ilk of manager around now - Allardyce, Moyes, McClaren, Pardew, McCarthy etc but you can bet none of them will come cheap and will expect funds to work with. Has Sol Campbell thrown his tired old never to be picked up hat into the ring?
Dear lord NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,NO !!! Zut alors NON,NON,NON,NON,NON !!! Got in himmel NEIN,NEIN,NEIN,NEIN !!! And because the World Cup is in Russia NIET,NIET,NIET,NIET !!!! Hope that clears my feelings up on Fat SAM.
I don't care how boring his football is, if he can get us straight back to PL status, I'd say yes but it won't happen. TF is probably fond of SMcL from his previous time with us and l would think, that is where we are headed. We need a manager that the board will back so that everyone square dancing to the same tune. Halloway was the scapegoat and got chewed up and spat out. He deserved better than that. You can't ask a manager to survive on a nil budget and then punt him for not making the play-offs. TF may have other people coming in to invest so he punts the manager, brings in a new one to start the process off. May just be me reading between the lines.
The worse thing about Sam would be that it means they got rid of Ollie with no plan. However, it could also mean that talks with McClaren broke down which is still a little bit 'no plan' because I'd have made sure SM was in before agreeing to let Ollie go. Another possibility is that the delay is due to SM negotiating the end of the DOF! Just a thought. ANyway, it's Thursday so enjoy the ride!
God no & we aren’t ready yet for premier league, I’m quite happy to stay in championship for at least a few seasons while we rebuild, don’t want to go up & get hammered each week & go back down again, didn’t enjoy it last time.
No thanks. Why is he still not the England manager, then? Oh yes, I remember... We're not a PL organisation at the mo, so it wouldn't help us if we were to get promoted. Let's get the club right and the team right first.
When Cardiff are bottom of the league in December, Warnock will get the push and he'll be available for us - that is, if you want someone with an uncanny knack of getting teams promoted.
