Anyone for Bendtner

How many of you would want Nicklas Bendtner to replace Rickie Lambert as Southampton's main striker? He is being linked with your club today by the Metro:

We have always had a nice bunch of lads...which was why Osvaldo was such a shock. He had to be reported to teacher. Important now that we rebuild that team spirit...can't see Bendtner helping there.

 

I'd probably take him as 3rd/4th choice striker on low wages but that's never going to happen, so no.

 

I wouldn't take him to stand in the wall during training.

 

Of course we haven't stated the obvious....no one can replace Rickie

 

On the other hand, he looks like a bloke who would be improved by a smack in the mouth.

I saw this stat on him the other day: Of players to score 20 or more Premier League goals for Arsenal, Bentner has the fifth-best minutes per goal rate (190.58), bettered only by Henry, van Persie, Wright and Adebayor.

He has 24 international goals. He's only 26 and a free transfer.

 

And he's not actually all that good, plus he's an unutterable bellpiece.
