http://www.change.org/petitions/kar...m=facebook&utm_campaign=share_facebook_mobile Resign or Spend Reasonably Harry Carter Petition by Harry Carter Blackpool, United Kingdom I, personally, am starting this petition, despite not expecting significent change from it, because the people of Blackpool and Blackpool fans have had enough of the way our, once proud, football club are plummeting to new lows. Karl Oyston has always done things "his way" or the "club's way" but that way has always been to spend a little as possible. Despite money in football is ridiculous these days and his stance on football agents is positive, there is barely any investment on our team and facilities and as I type this, we still only have eight (yes, eight) registered players and just over four weeks until the new season begins. In 2003/4, Oyston spoke to the Blackpool Gazette saying how a training ground is in development and will be promised, at the time, soon, though he never put a time frame on it. 10 years on, we're still at the same "training ground" (I use that term lightly) and AFC Flyde have better facilities than ourselves. At the closing stages of last season, we thought we'd seen the worst of the protests and the way the club was run, if anything, things have gotten a lot worse and despite some may laugh, just in case, I deeply apologise to Nottingham Forest fans should we not be able to field more than 8 players come 9th August. To close out this description, communcation to the club has been few and far between, with no statement from Jose Riga or interview since he was appointed earlier last month, though we are all behind Riga, it's fair to say every fan is growing concerned about what on earth is happening. Our club is becoming one huge joke and it's massively embarassing, so we need to do whatever we can to put pressure on the club or simply make it known what's happening at the club. Some fans have even refunded their Season Tickets, hope is simply not there right now. We are also aware of the situation at Coventry, maybe Coventry fans would rather be in our position than theirs, but even they have brought some new players in and are ready for pre-season. Massively embarassing on our part. Thank you and please support, even if it doesn't mean too much to you, a signature is much appreciated no matter who you support!
And that is the owner we've got to come to an agreement with on the Ince fee - he will want the earth "to help pay for ground improvements/transfers/his own bank balance"
I remember them in the old div 4 with us, their big kop end minus the roof. The Championship seems ipso facto better times.
And people complain at our club, new signings, new development facilities. What on earth is Allam thinking, the way forward is the Blackpool model
Judging by the critical population level of Blackpool football players, I'd suggest he's doing a far better job of it than our own.
Perhaps a snappy name such as the Tangerine Donkeys may attract that cash-rich brain-dead Far East investor that we just know is out there? Have we announced our sponsor yet? Is it Zernys Dry Cleaners or Rex Launderette ?
But seriously, I remember back in 2010 when we slid out the Premiership plenty of turds round here compared us very unfavourably with the 'prudent' Bpool model (build a meccano stand and sign poor quality players, and trouser the tv money). Seems it was a **** lead to follow
