Currently, and in past seasons, established mid-table teams like Newcastle, Stoke and Fulham were able to manage a full schedule plus those Thursday European games.

No, I do not fancy any run in the FA Cup at all. When we made it back to the Prem with NW, we were knocked out of the League and FA Cups and therefore were able to concentrate on the league. And obviously it worked, as we climbed. We should do the same this year - field the weakest side in the FA Cup, get knocked out immediately, and then focus on the league survival. That should keep our players as fresh as possible for the league matches on the weekends and keep them from getting injured as well, giving us time for the injured to get back into the team. There are also plenty of international breaks coming up that should give us even more time for the players to keep fit, stay fresh and GEL some more!
