Would anyone else really like a good cup run this year? I fancy one more than usual I just think its about time the world opened its eyes and noticed Southampton FC. We have the depth, it looks like we will cope well in this league and, thinking incredibly optimistically it would give us a good insight of what we have to face in the coming season! Also another trip to wembley would be a laugh as well I spose!
I don't want to lose a football match ever again because I don't know how to handle defeat anymore (though I suspect it will come back to me!).
Me thinks they noticed last year. prime time match on the beeb, viewed around the world and we outplayed them for most of the match. Would be nice to get a bit further this time but not at the expense of doing well in the league. If it meant the team suffered less injuries that may be the difference between (dare I say it) play offs and automatic, or more realistically play offs and just outside of play offs (We can dream of the former though.
I play for a sunday league team, lets just say we're hit and miss! So I may or may not be familiar with that feeling!
to be fair over the last few years we have had some very good cup runs for the division we've been in.
As Jen says, we've done well in the Cups in recent years so it'll be sods law that the year we don't mind one - we'll bow out both fairly soon! Love the FA Cup so would always want us to do well in that.
