Off the top of my head, didnt he hijack a passenger plane, land , demanded and received a ransom, got them to fly the plane away, he jumped out of the plane far too high to sustain a regular parachute drop into mountainous terrain, and was never seen again. Traces of the money has been found around where he parachuted but they are pretty certain that he wouldnt have survived the jump.

Don't think the jump was too high and they have never found the parachute and only stopped the investigation this year. The **** made it, I reckon.

My point was, I'm surprised I had never heard of the ****. And hadn't heard of the 15 copycat hijackings the year after all of whom were either caught or shot in a couple of days.

It was all a complicated ruse set up by the FBI & CIA. The whole event was staged and filmed on a back lot in Burbank.

I thought they broke out? If they didn't, they should really change the title of the programme. Pricks.

He was a Canadian who worked in the aviation industry and stole his name and ideas from a comic book called Dan Cooper.

That is one theory, considering he booked his ticket under the name Dan Cooper and the media ****ed up and published D.B. Cooper

Aye and the hijacking was almost exactly like one of the stories in the comic.

Aye, it's a famous story and they've mentioned him on loads of TV shows. Archer is the most recent one I can think of.

    Also Twin Peaks.
