This guy from the Police is completely blanking Burnsie. He repeatedly says it is not an infringement of civil liberties.......WHAT????
His main argument seems to be that City supporters will flock into Huddersfield at 11 o'clock for a 5.20 ko. What a muppet. Does he not think that people may just decide to travel later.
He's a ****ing idiot. We must return the tickets now! This is a football match and we should not tolerate this bollocks.
He said 'we're a ****ing useless police force, if we let everyone come then some people might go to the pub, then we'd be ****ed and millions of people would get raped and pillaged and I might get told off'. I don't know why, but while he was talking, I pictured him with a damp patch appearing on the front of trousers.
People may well decide to travel there for 11am, but this could well be families wanting to spend a day out before the game or people spending time with friends or family in the area. Shame this clown doesn't realise that anyone who turns up won't be a pissed up hooligan looking for trouble, just normal people wanting to enjoy a day out and a game of football. West Yorkshire plod need to take a long hard look at themselves over this one as they have undoubtedly made a shocking decision.
He spunked himself? Bet his wife loves that, can't even control himself when thinking about footy fans on a bus. Wonder how long he lasts under the covers? Or if, in fact, he even makes it to the covers?
Karl Turner is pointing out this is a political issue as the police budgets have been cut to such a degree that they cannot afford to take on extra policing under these circumstances.
What about the Huddersfield fans who drink before the game have they also got a limit of 1500 tickets? If not.... Discrimination. Correlation is not causation.
True enough, but he seemed to think they'd be camped in the pub from 11. When I go to away matched I like to make a day of it, sometimes a weekend of it. Will be working that weekend so can't make it, if I could go - I now wouldn't.
Considering that last time we played them, 13 Huddersfield fans were arrested for alcohol related offences and no Hull City fans were arrested at all, maybe this arrangement would have been more effective if the Huddersfield fans had to travel on coaches from Hull?
Having listened to him, I reckon their Superintendant is getting money under false pretences. He came across as a worse bumbler than Clouseau. I'll be generous and suggest he was forced into the decision by those above him for political reasons, because he certainly didn't show that any reasoned consideration had steered his actions. What did they call that ****** that used to run things here? He was equally as thick. What on earth does it say about Police recruitment if these people are the ones deemed superior to the lower ranks?
Not a good reaction from the fans re the club's stance... Very poor response from the club. They need to listen to the fans, grow some ****ing balls and send the tickets back.
Either way the club will leave fans unhappy, people will still really want to go to the game also. It's a hard situation and although I agree I would like to see the tickets sent back, it's hard and as I said either way they're going to piss fans off.
