In the 80s when i was in the army, I had a mate who also played part time for you guys. His name was Micky Spence. He was an Army PTI stationed at Arborfield. Do any of you more 'mature' members remember him, or know what has happened to him since?
Sorry. I don't recall that name. I've looked on Wiki but it only lists those with a Wiki article and also lists those with over 100 appearances. He doesn't appear on either list.
I've also looked at all the transfers and he isn't on that list either. Sorry, don't know where else to look.
All I know is as he was in the Army, his appearances had to be limited. He probably played around 1983ish Ron
Maestro According to this website these are ALL the players with a surname starting with S that have played for Wycombe Wanderers since the 60's. no mention of him there either. I am sure there are loads of names missing off that list, either that or they were all very loyal and stayed with Wycombe for 20+ years
This list is from 1993 when we became a football league club I didn't get to too many games in the 80s as I was in the RAF but I wil have to go up into the loft to route through my old programes but don't hold your breath for a reply as I won't be going up there until the weekend now
Cheers for all the replies folks. It doesn't really matter. His name just came up in a converstion with an old Army mate a few weeks ago
