On the news there's been a whole host of unions starting to ballot for a day of strikes on the 30th of November because of the attack on pensions. Any of you striking then? Bearing in mind the government feckers are trying to spank my household for £20,000 between now and my wife's and my retirement in eight years, you better believe the strike will get my full support.
I fully support the right to strike, I fully support people are scared of the cuts & losing their jobs........but cuts are across the board. If the government proposed all council leisure buildings & functions were to close I could understand Libary workers, leisure centre workers etc being pissed off that they will be the ones to suffer but they're not alone. Policemen, nurses, teachers, bin men......all face pay cuts or job losses.
What the Unions need to realise is that the pension reforms are necessary because in the current climate the system of the past just isn't sustainable anymore.
All face cuts and job losses. What's happened to the people responsible for this economic mess, though? Oh, er, nothing, isn't it? They profited massively and then ****ed off with all the money. Great system, eh?
They should also be cut but won't be as the banks are still privately run, even though millions in tax payers money was given to them to bail them out
The whole benfit system needs to change . There needs to be proper incentive to work instead of scrounging off benefits. I don't blame the claimants - they're merely using the system. There are/were jobs out there - we seem to be able to attract plenty of East Europeans to take jobs that the indiginious population do not want to perform. The trouble with Governments is that they are happy to throw away the money of hard working tax payers, in benefits, to pay for votes - so that they ( the MPs ) can be elected - and then help themselves to a huge lot more of OUR money for their duck ponds etc. ---- So nothing will change - other than this country going to the dogs ! Right, I'm off to the airport.
Don't even get me started on that. I was just commenting on public sector pensions and if I get started on the benefit system I may blow a fuse
I wanted my bank to go under, because i have my mortgage with them, i'd have been quids in.. although i paid for a three piece suite in advance to a company that went tits up and was hoping the government would bail them out but alas no, i lost nearly 3 grand, funny how they bail the banks out when we owe them money.
