Sick to death about the Stephen bloody Gerrard saga?

You would think that he had died rather than going to earn mega bucks in the sunshine

Gerrard (Aka Rocky) - an English success story like Lampard.

Should have moved clubs, probably gone on for one season too long in the Prem.

I'm not sick of it. I think he's fabulous and I love his lack of desire to always be in the spotlight. English football would be in a better place were there more like him instead of the likes of Sterling, demanding exorbitant wages when he hasn't played a full season yet and is not reached his potential.
Incredible man, deserving of the accolades he is receiving.

If Raheem wanted to come to us , would you not welcome him ?
Gerrard was undoubtdly a top draw player , so are a number of others whom we have not heard so much about , and I think Nick was just saying that it was over-exposure in the media that he finds nauseating.

    Zoz...spot on.
Gerrard has been a great player, up there with the very best.

We have been lucky in the PL to have had: Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes as an English trio. Hard to pick the best eh?

No I wouldn't welcome Raheem. It's a moot point though as he would never come to us.

There have been other players that have shown greed in their desire to move and get a big pay rise, rather than learn their craft more and develop. I'm naive I know but I like to believe that their priority is playing football, every week, where they feel wanted. If he leaves he will be bench warming at the top 4 clubs.

It could also be because I'm turning into a miserable old bugger. It occurred to me the other day that virtually every other manager in the PL annoys me for one reason or another. Exceptions, Allardyce, Pulis Mourhino and Bruce. Sean Dyce too.

Think Gerrard was seriously let down yesterday by a team that he's carried for years.

You're probably right Nick. In previous years he has also played with far better players than are currently in their squad. I look at their squad now and I see average players. They did well last season thanks to Suarez and Sturridge though the latter was perhaps made to look good by playing in tandem with Suarez. Rodgers recent signings have been poor and have not performed as expected.

Yesterday's result though was fantastic and a credit to MH and the team. I still cannot believe the 6-1 scoreline
