Looks like there's still some transfers in to come that do not qualify as domestic... I'm worried about the team as a team as there must be immense uncertainty in the camp at present... The Mad Tsar Y seems to have done something about it with the pre tour hotel bonding mission but for me thats not enough. We need certainty for the players and families asap if we are to hit the ground running as we all desire...

i think that it is just a symptom of the modern game. Players are aware that this sort of thing will happen at the start of every season. Those that are not in the 17 will be sold or loaned. If players are as mercenary as we are told, then they won't worry too much as long as they are being paid. The only players who can relax are those that are 'home grown' and I'm not too sure that that is a good thing. in any event, no decision needs to be made until September.

Part of the trouble is that many "home-grown" are over priced and over paid. There are not that many who can come from a non-league side and be successful straight away, something that is required these days. What I don't feel comfortable with is players who are signed, then shipped out to another country. These are people after all, sometimes with families, and to treat them as goods doesn't seem right. Mind you thinking back to the 1960's players were almost slaves to be offered a new contract, often with a house, or not at the Chairman's whim.

Well so long as they are happy and understand they might not all play then its probably not too bad - if said players do improve the side.
