I'm very proud that's representing the British public on the F1 stage. Don't say it often but, kudos for Bernie pretty much forcing them to do it. Even Bernie is proud of it...
Great post SilverArrow. I hope that everyone will feel this is a success and keep coming back for more. The effort involved has been gigantic and is a true credit to the UK on an international scale.
I went to silverstone last year, while it was still being built. Didn't look special that special until you see what goes on inside it. For 2012, me, my old man and my brother are thinking of going to good old Hokenheim for the first time. 8 hour drive sounds wicked
I've always got the general admission ticket when I've been to Silverstone and I may change my spot now the tracks altered, well the starts moved. never been to a track outside this country, will have to do it sooner or later, Belgium and Germany aren't really that far away for distance to be an excuse
ahhhhh spa is amazing, BLS. I've asked my parents and family to spread my ashes at the pouhon corner when I die and I havent even hit 25 yet lol. One day i'll do a double GP back to back, spa then to Nurburgring, it's only another 50 miles lol
'I've asked my parents and family to spread my ashes at the pouhon corner' !!!! You plan on going before your parents ?
They spend tens of millions building it and then the BBC use this picture of it in their article. please log in to view this image
Do you have to hire those yellow jackets or do they loan them to you for free? I think it looks swish. Have they got it the right way up?
Nah, it looks like the new branch of Wickes on the industrial estate down the road, far too angular, it needs curves, ã27 million, crap. Cheap tin shed materials for christ sake. Should have asked Tracey Emin to draw up something.
Silverstone is running a competition for an exclusive tour of the new Wing in the company of Lewis Hamilton. To enter you need to submit the question you'd like to ask him. So, what would it be? Answers on a post, please, to: SilverArrows's Thread, F1 Board, not606.com.
Silverstone was only ever lacking modern facilities, as it's got a great atmosphere, is always sold out, and produces exciting racing. Now, it's got those facilities, it rivals the best tracks in the world. I prefer the older more historic races such as Silverstone, Spa, Monza etc etc. I know F1 is moving into the emerging markets, but I hope the traditional F1 locations aren't forgotton. It'll be good to see the other historic tracks brought up to the standards of Abu Dhabi and Singapore
