And finding their IP is blocked on here? I can only access when I'm connected to wi-fi. Any ideas anyone?
I'm on O2, sometimes blocks me, sometimes doesn't. Funnily enough I was going to start a thread on O2 and tell everyone not to go with them, as it is a **** service! I pay for 1GB data a month and rarely use half of it! and not through choice! the signal is crap for mobile internet - it struggles to upload a pic to Twitter, even in Hull City Centre. I've tweeted at them loads and they've done feck all about it, other than send standard responses. Not only can I not use what I'm paying for, but they've just put my monthly contract up for the 2nd time in 18 months!
I think in general mobile providers are a bit ****. Some big areas just aren't served at all (Swanland anyone?), other places have very poor signal and there's just no support for anything. As some will know I work for KC and I deal with faults and stuff; if your Internet has problems you ring us and we either fix it or teach you how to fix it. Mobile providers don't even have a number to ring! Even if you're good with your tech there's nothing you can do. You just have to accept a service not working.
O2's ****, I couldn't get signal at home or at my office, or most other places I went. Orange/EE is way better.
I'm on three which is okay normally but when I go to my Grandma's in Swanland there's literally no coverage. It's not iust a poor signal its like being at sea there's just nothing.
A workaround for your block problem folks, always keep the page open in a tab in your browser loaded from wifi, then it will work when you use it on mobile data. At least it works with Vodafone. This site isn't blocked but bookies are, so I make sure I open any bookies sites I'm going to use at home on wifi before I go out then I can access them.
Haven't they changed the law so that if they do that, you can change networks with no penalty? That is, you can fook them off now and not pay for it?
I don't think so. I assume there is allsorts of made-up bullshit in their contracts. The other day Twitter was awash with O2 users complaining about their monthly tariff changing mid-contract, so I'm sure something major would jave developed in the media if it was illegal?
Ah actually... http://thefonecast.com/Opinion/TabI...or-mobile-phone-contracts-and-so-does-O2.aspx O2 are a bunch of arseholes by the looks of it. Soz.
