If it was near a tube station it would also be useful.

I hope to get to the Liverpool match and would have to be in Uxbridge, Middlesex early the following morning.

    Suggestions anyone?

Hi Ciarrai, if you type ' hotels near Loftus Road ' into google, that brings up 10 or so hotels with a map. I think the Hilton Kensington or the K West are good but expensive. Good luck mate.

If you're looking to be in Uxbridge the following morning then you might be better off staying somewhere accessible to LR but nearer that way. Ruislip would probably be a decent shout- on the Central Line, cheaper than more central locations and only 5-10 mins on the tube from Uxbridge.

Edit- there's more than one tube station in Ruislip. West Ruislip is on the Central Line while Ruislip is on the Piccadilly and Metropolitan for Uxbridge.

I know a old slapper on the Wormholt who will put you up for a bit of dick if you are interested, failing that I would personally stay around Ruislip/Uxbridge area as has been suggested.

I have stayed at the Premier West Hotel in Glenthorne Rd., Hammersmith for 30 years when visiting London, it used to be known as Terry's. It's cheap and cheerfull, a bit like Faulty Towers if that rocks your boat! Only 20 minutes walk to LR, longer when you stop at every pub on the way, recommended! Its also only 200 yards from Hammersmith Tube station where you can take the Hammersmith and Northern line think its called to the Bush, and also Central, Picadilly and District lines are there - think one of these goes to Uxbridge? You can say Oslo, with the sons, recommended you, and you'll get an extra blanket if your lucky!

Ciarrai, 4 of us were over for the wigan game a while back and stayed at the Premier Inn King st Hammersmith. very reasonable and beside 2 tube stations. £8 to the conningham, uxbridge rd in a taxi, though you could walk to LR easy enough if you wanted. Btw big game in Newry this sunday!!!!!

Kingdom, had a look and will probably go with the hotel you suggested. Couple of tube stops from Wood Lane and on the same line as Uxbridge for the following morning.

BTW, thanks for the 2 points in Newry today. Kerry looked the far better team in the 2nd half. We needed a good result and performance like that after our poor showing against Armagh at home last time out.

There are a couple of cheap but reasonable hotels near Hanger Lane tube station. 3 stops to White City.

You must be very proud. My young guy is only 7 but it is every father's dream to see them play for their county. He would have to much better than his old man if he is to have any chance.
