I still expect Francis and Benson to leave and a center half and striker to come in before the end of the month.

Personally would love a left winger but can't see it happening.

Any one else expect more comings or goings?

I think that CP will sit on the squad that he has for the time being, unless Benson is to leave, in which case I would hope he would sign another striker.

If form dips, i'd expect a couple of loans around the Christmas period but I think he is happy with what he has at the moment.

Benno has to leave. Otherwise he will stink the place out with his strops. Besides, I am happy for Waggy to step up to reserve striker if needs be. Besides, Benno just ain't good enough for this side.

    Predictable Benno bashing, I know.

This squad is very strong. The one possible area for strengthening would be the left wing; but with Jackson floating around and Waggy/Green able to fill in, it is far from desperate. The squad can still be augmented with our talented youngsters if needed. I am sure Harriott, Mambo, Popo etc will chomping at the bit to get a game and show their worth.

    Good times, indeed.

Remember we still got that Evina geezer as well who can play wide left or right. Akkers we aint gonna sign any more non league players this summer. Any newbies will be experienced or young uns from a Prem outfit on loan.

Jon, the reason why we are thinking of selling Robbie now is so we DO get a fee for him! IT WOULD NOT BE A FREE

After the weekends match against Barnet, Rotherham's manager Andy Scott pointed out that a few league players have gone to championship clubs recently for more than a million pounds, and they weren't even as good as Le Fondre.

Too much for us to come up with in 9 days ? 'Tell em their dreamin'.............

I think Le Fondre is a good player, but his disliking of The South would probably knock out any possibility of signing him. Besides, I think a million is over the top, and would we pay that much anyway?

Age aside, I really like the look of Ryan Lowe and he is showing his ability at this level. Jamie Cureton would have been a good signing as well - and Dean Bowditch.

But if we were to sign a new striker for big money, then Sam Baldock would be the one for me. He looks the business!

Le Fondre has said at least 1 million times he will NOT move south.

I think we will sign three new players before the window closes. Certainly a central defender, and probably a couple of front men. How many out is an entirely different matter. Maybe Elliott to the Toon for £200k or so, maybe Benno for around £150k, though quite where I'm not too sure, but this will keep Ponders happy. If we are really lucky we might get rid of Francis and Doherty, though I have no idea who would sign these two.

I have no idea whether he has real ability at this level or not but, if so, his age (or that of any other player CP might fancy) shouldn't stand in his way.

A few £hundreds of thousands "wasted" on signing a player who may prove too old to adapt to Championship level is insignificant compared with the many £millions promotion would gain us.

Plus we could probably recoup a lot of the fee if we wanted to unload him once the job was done.

Obviously we don't want a team over-populated with mature players but we are nowhere near that situation.

CP will get a closer look at him next Saturday. Let's hope he isn't too impressive then!

Good shout, Eddie. I only worry about the age thing because surely if the likes of Lowe were going to make it big they would have done so by now. But I really think Ryan Lowe could be great for us. Anything to stop Benson stinking the place out! Ain't that right, Rifleman?
