Hey any lads on here play football. Just heads up because I play on a sat from 10:30 - 12-30 at gateshead stadium. Depending on how many people turn up (usually around 30 people) we make 4 teams and play with of a pitch so we have two games on at a time, always a good laugh and only £3 for the 2 hrs, can't complain like, would be good playing Footy with a few of the not606 lot.

I was going to suggest something similar, but Saturdays aren't good for me as every other week I am likely to be travelling to an away game.

I would have suggested a week night 5-a-side game, but people's locations and free time will be a problem.

I used to play on a Monday night at Gosforth but we got kicked out as we only had 3 players, I was injured with a torn ankle ligament and we just couldn't get a team out. I now play Thursday nights and Sunday league when I can.

It would be nice to have a game of footie with people on here.

A meet up would be really cool. Especially to play footy! Thing is though, lots of people have different locations.

So, instead of having it somewhere near Newcastle. Why not have a meet up, in a neutral place like Manchester.

You'd have thought, that way it'd be easier for people to meet up.

Would be up for this despite my age. Neutral venue North of Durham not606ers, south of Tyneside not606ers.... Say Chester-le-Street? <whistle>

Sounds good to me, I'd defo be up for it as long as we're not the early kick off that day. I can understand why other people are suggesting alternative locations but I'd say at least 75% of the members on here are within travelling distance to Newcastle so makes sense to have it there.....thats the only reason I'm saying that obviously!

True. I'd really like this to happen. Would be good to meet some people on here. I think alot of people would be up for it. I could see money being an issue though.

Royal quays soccer dome? or the Parks sports centre (they have 4 5 a side pitches and 2 11 a side pitches)? I'd be up for it (depending on the location). Saturday would be no good though because I play on a saturday morning anyway and I'm going to try and get to more away games this year. A wednesday evening or something like that would be good. What's everyone's ability, I'm not exactly the best of players.

Oh aye, its not a problem for me. But, I just thought having it somewhere else could benefit other users. But, then I realised, the geordie posters wouldnt be able to make it haha. Im a cock at times lol

I'm of a decent standard, would like to think I could put the ball through all of your legs!

Personally, I think we need to meet up first. It would be weird turning up not knowing who's who.
