The management team are well and truly bringing fresh life to our club.

Some had doubts about SoD some may still.

But one thing for sure, he is doing his best to bring change to our club quickly and efficiently.

The doubters must now be changing their minds,if not then i doubt they will ever be happy.

Two or three more signings and we are ready to rumble.

Let battle commence, hopefully with a return to the championship.

That is the operative word how quickly the new players already here and those yet to arrive can gel as a TEAM is going to affect the views of a lot of our supporters some are too impatient for us to be challenging for promotion to the top flight instead of looking at just how much the club needed to change on and off the field. We have some fans here saying they will decide after 10 games it will in all probability take that long for the new players to start performing the way the manager wants they are going to have to learn new ways of playing and new habits to fit in with new team mates. That takes time. Look at how long it took AD to build his City team wasn't 10 games in fact had some fans had their way he would have been sacked several times before he got the team playing as he wanted.

I don't think SOD is the best manager on the planet, and there may be managers better suited to the Bristol City job, but for the first time in a long time we have a manager proven at this level and above. He ticks all the boxes, so in my eyes he is the ideal man going forward and should get our full support.

There are undoubtedly better managers than S O'D thats fairly certain but would they be prepared to come to Bristol City at the moment and do the hard work of rebuilding a team almost from scratch and spending very little money very doubtful.
As you say he ticks all the boxes for us therefore I have to say he is the best manager we could have at this time both from the point of view in the way he sets his teams out to play football, not this weird hybred game that is sometimes seen airball, but also the way he like to develop young players and not break the bank with expensive signings who because they cost a few bob think the game owes them a living.
It might take 12 months or so to get what everyone wants this is something no one can predict how the players will mesh and how long will it take all we can do is hope they do quickly, the head coach and the coaching staff will, I have no doubt, be doing all they can to make it happen quickly but we might need a tad more patience that we have sometimes shown.

Results and only results will prove his worth one way or the other.

I like the new signings so far, all they need to do now is gel and perform !

I think some people are doubting my belief in SoD as our manager when I said I doubt we would go up or even get in playoffs.
I think to build a team to that is going to take time, I have maintained a few times patience is what's required now, Rome was not built in a day and all that.
The one question I have for all of the people who think we will bounce straight back up is
"would we have a strong enough team to stay in the championship?"
And looking at our new signings the answer has to be No, they will need time and a bit more experience to do this, I'm not saying it won't happen or I don't want it to. I just want to be in a stronger position than we are at the moment.
No I won't give SoD 10 games, I will give him as long as it takes if I see improvement or at least passion in the team.

    Here we go again..

Complete ove the top excitement because we have bought a few players early in the close season. they are mostly an unknown quantity as most fans will never even have heard of the vast majority of them until we signed them! they do seem to be of the right stock and age, but lack of age brings lack of experience!

Let them settle, don't expect overnight miracles, they will need time to gel. We already have fans criticisms of Ryan Taylor and Liam Kelly, 2 players who are going to be good players but are young and gaining experience. young players make mistakes and beat themselves up for it too much, they don't need the fans destroying them too..!!

I'm ever more optimistic as each useless waster goes through the door, but patience is required.
