My Grandson, James "The Pain" Cunningham (pictured after winning the Scandinavian Light Heavyweight Amateur Championship at the KC Stadium last year) who is a Hull City season ticket holder is making his professional debut on Thursday 28th April at the City Hall.
He will be well supported by his friends and family but if anyone is attending would you please give him a cheer for us here in Oz.
Thank you and have a nice day all.

I have no details except for the fact that he won his first pro fight. (Facebook comment early hours from his younger sister).
    Well done the lad!

I remember those Grafton days (on my visits home) well - doesn't seem that long ago.
When we were here in Oz (40 years ago), my youngest son Andrew (James Dad) was a right tearaway. We had a pet Doberman Pinscher that Andy idolized (and who idolized him) and on the many occasions I had to chastise him he would set the Doberman on me so I couldn't get near him. Broke his heart at the time when his Mother and I split up and he couldn't take the dog back to England with him.
Good first-up result for the lad against an opponent having his 7th fight. Lot of work to do yet but he is showing much promise.

BMB sends his regards and wishes James the best for the future. We were in your area
a few weeks back and had a peep at Traralgon but didn't spot you. I'm in Wales at
the moment staying with an Aussie girlfriend and heading for Wembley to see my team
Darlington play in the FA Trophy final a week today. If Swansea reach the final in the
play-offs she wants me to go with her to see them as they are' her team'
even though she has never seen them play before. BMB remains in Aus as he could
not get health clearance to travel.
Also asked me to remind you that in the goals competition 5 in the last 2 games will
win you the 150 quid. Is Cowboy 1 gone for good or will he return?

Cowboy1 was my "Footymad" user name but I got fed up with the way some smart-arse on there ridiculed other posters in a most derogatory way. I took umbrage and stuck up for those being sledged only to have one of the boards moderators defend the smart-arse and ban me for a 'short period'. I never did find out how long the 'short period' was as I placed a self-imposed permanent exile on myself. I may make a come-back should I win the goals competition which I will donate to some worthy pensioner city supporter - I will call for nominations or other suggestions.
Best regards to Mr BMB and yourself.
