Well with this virus still with us we will not be allowed in, and the fact that they couldn’t afford to finish this season off. What does it actual matter when we start
What’s wrong We will all get back when this mess is over just sit tight until Boris gives us his instructions Chill out man
Think this covid episode is getting to some folk. Can't remember people being arsey with each other so quickly, if this is a taste of what's it like on other boards ( none of which I've ever visited) then it's not for me. Not used to it on this board and it's time some people took a deep breath before posting their comments imo.
I’m ok we are in a situation where no one knows anything Boris will tell us when we can move on Until the I’m just chilling I’m also concerned when he will let us go on holiday And from my point of view I will go when it’s safe
That’s correct However it’s not stopping some people wanting to go now Boris could release some of his rules and allow people to go But time will tell At this moment of time it’s only essential travel
Just out of curiosity what would happen if someone just went on holiday without telling Boris, how would he find out ?
When Cummings does it he'll read about it in the news. He's probably got to go to Barbados to test some new suncream.
To echo the first reply, who cares? It's almost impossible to get enthusiastic about next season with all that's gone on and is still going on. One thing is certain at the moment, that we are nowhere near where we need to be and are showing no signs of getting there.
Well to help with the quesiton. The last round of Premiership matches isn't until 26th July. There is then the prospect of a Champions League mini-tournament in Portugal to finish that off and I think that was planned for Mid-August. So the current season doesn't really finish until the end of August for some teams. Even if all goes as planned I'd have thought that late September was the earliest realistic timescales. In theory there's meant to be an international tournament at the end of next season too. As a minimum you'd have to imagine that all cup replays will be removed and the league cup semi to be one leg.
Thanks for that Haslam. However our football is closer to grass roots and not the mega rich Premiership. When the CL matches are played are of little interest to most of our fans including ne, I've not bothered to look at the current results of the money greedy clubs that are battling it out for a league that was won by Christmas and it's only the clubs fans involved in the relegation scrap that actually give a sh1t. Lost all interest months ago and it's only the fun and games on here that gives me a link to football these days and I never thought I'd be saying that in my lifetime which I find extremely sad.
At the current rate that Boris is easing the lockdown anything could happen by mid August. League 1 and 2 could restart in August I guess, but if fans aren't allowed in until December they will no doubt put it back until a time closer to fans being allowed in while still not having the season too compressed. Maybe October. I guess the concern is that we get a seasonal second wave growing in autumn, and that rules out football fans being allowed into grounds until effectively spring.
Who the hell in their right mind would want to go back maybe if you’re watching Liverpool or Man City but the s hite we dish up 2030 is to bloody soon.
