Why the actual duck we didn't get this guy in. We need a left back, the fee was £2m and a potential star. What is happening?
Ashley is (still) happening and our transfer budget is £0. I’m pretty much done with it: Club isn’t worth what that fat **** wants for it, and there’s no end in sight. I won’t support this club once the whistle sounds and we enter season 14 of avoiding relegation.
Time to sing our traditional war chant: "There's three teams worse than us! There's three teams worse than us!"
Has he had that dicky heart sorted out that caused the Milan transfer to fall through? Supposedly we were one of four interested clubs, but Fulham were preferred to ourselves West Brom and Sheffield Utd. It sounds like they were his first choice once they showed interest going off the newspaper reports. Supposedly on 45K a week too which I'd imagine we'd view as quite steep for someone unproven at the level. Rumours are swirling that we are gonna try to take Joe Bryan from them, but Leeds are sniffing and they'd be his preferred choice. We have massive pulling power
I see we are being linked with Maitland Niles also from Arsenal. I'd be surprised if we managed to land him. Good utility player and good in both full back positions and midfield. Just hard to see Arsenal letting him go, and even harder to see us being his best option.
I'd be happy with him and Callum Wilson/Josh King in, fringe players who wouldn't make the 25 man squad out.
I admit I hadn't heard of him, like most people So I can't really comment on his ability. Had we gone for him though, I think that the vast majority of NUFC fans would be screaming that he's ****e, third tier player, waste of money, Bruce doesn't know what he's doing, no ambition etc, for no reason. Actually that's just from Chippy. Lucky lads dodged a bullet.
