I really hope Anton doesn't play on Saturday due to the racist chants sung by some Chelsea fans at Norwich. He needs to be fully focused.

Ridiculous, why should a footballer not play in a match just because there might be mindless chanting. You're basically giving into the morons and they'll do it more.

He should play, if they want to chant something then they will feel the wrath of the FA.

In Europe, theyve abandoned games because of that, Id love it if the ref did that because wed get awarded a bye into the next round.

Agree. But my concern is Anton's ability to focus 100% on the pitch. It maybe coincidence that his form after the Chelsea game has been under that before, but I doubt it. Hope we have a a new CB in that we can try out against Chelsea and let Anton sit that one out, otherwise giive Hall another start, given that Gabbi is fit again.

Isn't the Terry court hearing Friday as well?

Tuesday i think, he will play as a matter of principle.

Speaking of principles, I hope the whole team refuses to shake Terrys hand and refuses to give the ball back if they kick it out, remember they did the same in the last match.

It was confirmed in another paper that they were about him.

Think its disgusting. Think its almost inevitable that they chant about anton at the weekend. I hope the FA appropriately punish them!

I have a feeling there is likely to be more TV cameras at this game than many others. If the chelsea fans shout racial abuse I hope they get caught on film.
What I would like is for Anton to head the ball in from a Buzz corner......leaving his marker Terry on the deck, after he slips. the Anton header is a bullet...and the winner..

Back in the 80's, nobody ever stopped anybody from any sort of racist or abusive chanting at all !!!!! Players didn't stop play then, they just went out and played and let their game speak for itself. There were no laws against any of that stuff.

Anton needs to do the same. He's established the problem already, everybody knows it, now he needs to go out and play his heart and show us how proud he is and how good he can be.

I didn't think Terry had any seeing him the way he plays for England over the years :1980_boogie_down:

I'd like to think that if they did try anything it would spur him on to do even better. He's our best centre-half by a mile and it would be madness not to play him.

Ferdinand will get the support from us, vastly outnumbering the scum fans. And tbh we wont be able to hear them much anyway if the atmosphere from the last game is anything to go by!

I hope he plays and scores. He runs to the Chelsea end to lift his top to reveal a t-shirt saying 'is it cause I'm black?'

What would not playing Anton achieve exactly?

The pressure's on Terry and Chelsea. If the boo-boys want to make it worse for themselves, let 'em.

Things could work well for Ferdinand. He might have his best game, with the chance to throw a good performance in the faces of his aggressors.
