Anyone else noticed he's been scoring for fun recently? I know it's only the SPL but even so it seems he's finally starting to perform to his potential?

Interesting given our situation, a little bit anyway.

Yeah, he was playing for Hibs when we bought him wasn't he? Scored a hat full of goals for them too, but I agree, SPL is his level I think.

I think Stokes is a confidence player, he went 7 games without a goal for us then scored 5 in three games. He seems to be having a great partnership with Gary Hooper and of course playing for a team which is a class above most other teams in the league helps - when you get plenty of good players behind you.

What people forget is he was still quite young when he made some big moves and big career choices when practically still a kid. Don't think that it's just because he is in Scotland he is getting the goals in, I've watched the likes Marc Antone Fortune look good in England then look terrible in Scotland - and we all know that nobody from Rangers bat an eyelid when they sold Charlie Adam for 500k, the Celtic fans used to chant his name <laugh>

Liked the lad but don't think he fitted in at the SOL,Think that he fits into Scottish football, had a fair bit of stick of Rangers NEDS (Chavs) for being a Celtic player, lives in mainly Protestant area (had house, car attacked etc.)

Fair play to the lad. He did score a few goals which did help us a lot in our first season up with Keano. Before he signed for us wasn't he playing for a Scottish team? He scored plenty for them as well. He shoudl stay there and play championss league football and play win trophies, he deserves it, and IF he fancies another crack in the premier league in a few years there will be enough suitors for him to choose from.

With Hooper beside him he's terrific. On his own up front though, he's a nightmare. He's our top scorer, quite happy with him. Daryl Murphy is absolutely rank though. Please take him back.

Murphy is rank? Really. In that division and he's still rank.

Why do you think we were so desperate to get rid of him?

Aye, Murphy's still terrible up here. His confidence seems to be shot, but even at that he's not a very good player anyway.

Scoring for fun in the Scottish Premier League. But this is the same league that a match between Hamilton and Kilmarnock attracted a gate of 2680 today. That sums up what that league is about imo.
