He has been handed a contract and from what I read had rave reviews last season. Is Waddock going to use? I was hoping for another center back, but maybe Stewart is the answer. Is he another Johnson? Has anyone seen him play? Could he do a job for us?
He's from the youth team Ron. I've read a lot of really good stuff about him and he sounds a very promising prospect. But I don't see him being used much this season, certainly not as one of the main 4 centre backs. It would be a big gamble to use the youngsters as squad regulars as stepping up from under 18s to league one is huge. But it's great to see the likes of Stewart, Harris, McClure, Kewley-Graham and Scowen being given squad numbers so they can gain some experience at a young age. I'd love to see some of them get a chance at some stage this season, but would prefer more experience to come in to give us a better chance of survival.
Maybe they can come on as subs when we're 3-0 up with 15mins to go or when we play some friendlies/Berks & Bucks cup matches.
