Model pro. Like Gerrard prone to errors. A better footballer than Gerrard.

Id rather keep K9 but thats because playing alongside someone as good as Ben Turner his errors can be taken care of.

He also doesnt disrupt our dressing room.

The better signing for you would be Gerrard. Hes a big , dominant centre half who is also dangerous at set pieces. K9 doesnt have that sort of presence.

Tom H is also a small keeper. TG is very good in the air. So can take care of crosses.

6'3 small mmmmmmmmmmm

Red - Tom Heaton is definately not 6 3. Hes not 6 3 if he wears his missus high heals.

Ive seen various stats for his height and I dont believe any of them.

Have you seen Tom yet.?

When you do you will agree with me.

Sites report him between 6 foot exactly and 6 3.

As I say when you see him its obvious hes not 6 3.

He is a small keeper. Hes not afraid to come for crosses mind. (though this has sometimes been his downfall. see the goal we conceded at Selhurst Park v Palace in the Carling semi).

Both Gerrard and Heaton will do good jobs for you.

Just watched us blow the gas apart three nil, heaton started I have to say he don't look 6'3 but he did not have to do much.did he wear bright orange florescent kit at Cardiff

Well impressed with the play today the gas were demolished by a far superior side.

Hmm my mate has access to the players bar at Cardiff and says that Gerrard is nothing but trouble. Apparently he is shuned and ignored by most of the squad. Maybe it's just an issue he has had at Cardiff or maybe he's a disruptive influence in general. If we sign him I hope Del susses out which one he is. The last thing we need is another ****-stirrer.

Have you heard any truth in these rumours about him falling out with his team-mates Hilts?

Pre-season tour of Portugal 2 years ago, the rumour was that he and Bothroyd had a bit of a dispute and Gezza decked Bothroyd. Also, he came back from the summer a stone and a half overweight and as a result of both adverse issues Gezza was sent on loan to Hull for the season.

He did well there (player of the season I think, under Pearson) and Malky brought him back last season to give him a chance. He lost his place when Turner was signed after some average or less performances. His season was capped (and ended) by his penalty miss v. Liverpool. The story is that after the game he spent more time in the Liverpool changing room than ours and downed a few with them celebrating their win.

While there is no doubting his commitment on the field, famously he and Marshall nearly came to blows on the field at an away game at Forest 3 years ago when we battled out a 0-0 draw. Despite all of this he was generally well liked by the fans although the story after the Liverpool game soured things a bit.

I think this gives a bit of a flavour as to what you get if you sign him. Don't forget though that Pearson at Leicester is a pretty good judge of a defender, he managed him at Hull, and obviously is keen to get him. He together with Heaton would be good for you and sod's law if you get him he will score against us. <doh>

Thanks Blue, sounds like he has a short fuse but hopefully if handled correctly he should be more of an asset rather than a hinderence. We need a competent centre-back so maybe he is the one to play alongside Fontaine.

On another note I think you guys will be very strong this season and I hear Bellamy is discussing personal terms as we speak. Bellamy is far too good for the Championship and it is testament to the player, like him or not, that he's willing to take a pay cut, step down a level and help out his boyhood club.

I'd like to see Gerrard here, but I cannot see him going anywhere other than Leicester. We simply wouldn't have pockets deep enough to land him from Cardiff and I'd be happier to see us land someone a bit younger with something to prove here.
