Depressing optimism in the first video, with the Premier League font on that shirt!

I remember when I bought that shirt from JJB and tried to get the Premier League print on it. I was gutted when they said "we can't put the premier league font on it as they're not guaranteed to stay in the PL". :(

It just seems like a Championship kit to me. No doubt if we stayed up it would seem like a Prem kit. <laugh>

Haha, it's ironic that its probably the best kit we've had since 2002, yet it's a kit that will be tarnished with a season in the Championship!

I quite enjoyed our sojourn in the CCC.

Most of the supporters we chatted to were really nice, played against teams we’ve not played in ages and we won a lot ;)

I enjoyed it too! But, I just think such a quality kit should have been associated with a season in The Premier League haha!

Meh, I actually prefer this seasons believe it or not even though I was in the brigade that said it was awful when it first came out, prefer the badges to be on the left as opposed the centre.

Could also be the fact we've actually got quality players in it for a change as well. <ok>

This seasons has grown on me alot! An awful lot actually.

But, I still think the 09-10 kit was one of the best we've had. Even the quality of it was top notch.

I like this seasons top a lot but I hate the quality and feel of the fabric they've used so I didn't buy one this year.

The quality is very poor. Which is one thing we could never accuse Adidas of. Their kits are good quality. Infact, every single Kit I have from Adidas is still in good nick.

I heard too many stories of this seasons kit falling apart after a few wears and washes.

I have some shirts that are coming up to thier 20th anniversary and they are still in great condition; and I wear them a lot.

<ok> I'm too young to have shirts that old <laugh> But, I do have a 2002 shirt I have framed in my room. Simply because it is signed by Mr Shearer!

True, my brother still wears my 1995/96 shirt that I wore literally everyday until I was about ten. He does the same and it's still holding out better than my puma kit from last season, which has only been worn to games.

It says something about brand loyalty as well. All the sportswear I buy is always Adidas (unless there's some kind of great sale going on), simply because I always had loads of Newcastle crap made by them.

Yeah, Ive always stuck with Adidas sportswear, just because they made our kits. But, also because the quality of their products are very high quality.

The same cannot be said for Nike. My god, now, how some of their products actually get past quality control is beyond me.

I bought three black away strips, for myself and my two boys, so that we could get free tickets for the WBA match. We wear them every week, for 5-a-side, and they are still fine, even the names and numbers that we had to buy to get the free tickets.

As regards old replica shirts, I have a framed signed shirt, from the SBR era, signed by the great man himself as well as most of the team of the time, including Shearer, Speed, Given, Dyer, Solano, Gavilan etc. Was at a Charity Sports Dinner in Redcar, and when this item came up for auction. When the bidding started at £20.00, I was the only one who bid, so I got it for that. Bargain!!
