Just got divorced, didn't he? The problem is drink/drive is about the dumbest thing, puts others at risk. Don't think there's any sympathy to be had as he's extremely wealthy and Uber's easier than getting in your own car. The lawyers and PR will all be about "poor Ant, struggling since wife left" when in reality he had a few beers, consciously drove and caused an accident. And this is only the time he got caught. If he's gone full Merson because of the divorce, then he needs help and support. He'd get more sympathy if he'd beaten Dec up.
maybe car manufacturers need to look into manufacturing a breathaliser key before the engine can start anyone sober enough to blow into the key on behalf of the driver to let him drink drive, deserves what he gets if there is an accident and he should be banned, fined or imprisoned for the offence of aiding and abetting
Not a bad idea at all. By the time they get round to including that in new cars though, probably all new cars will be driverless cars anyway.
What clean cut image? Ant has had a problem with prescription drugs which required a spell in rehab. I think his issues are generally ongoing due to his personal issues. He looked like he'd been dragged through a hedge. No excuses for this behaviour regardless of his personal circumstances. Getting behind the wheel under the influence can have horrific consequences. I don't know the full picture here but some are reporting a little girl was hurt in the incident. ****ish behaviour.

The beginning of the end for Ant & Dec is suspect. The guy clearly has issues, but he needs to get a grip.
