Never in the History of the SPl has there been so much fun and joy pouring forth from a club as what the old establishment club Rangers leaked over the last few days. Good news, unlike when Gordon Smith had to leave the higher echelons of Scottish Football to care for his sick and aging parents; this dismissal had nothing to do with his parents but had a more bread and butter issue. The sports equipment supplier took back all the footballs from Rangers; as of course the balls had not been paid for. Gordon had to leave his position as Director of Football as there was no football to direct. HMRC announced debt had risen to £13m as they handed documents containing lists of payments made to Scottish referees and their assistants over the last 12 years. No VAT, or of course Nat. Ins. or Income Tax had been paid. HMRC also handed over the outlines of a book called "Stripper". by C.W. God knows what it was about but it was written on blue paper and could either be asset stripper by an expert or something of the blue movie type. In either case it would not be in keeping with the high moral ground marched on by the bears in Orange.
My gripe with Smith , was how he got the top job in the sfa . A man that had a book called Rangers for me !! What other country in the world could this possibly happen . That is why I am loving what has happened to his beloved club, even with all the help in the world refs / smith / peat his club is still fcked
"HMRC handed documents containing lists of payments made to Scottish referees and their assistants over the last 12 years. No VAT, or of course Nat. Ins. or Income Tax had been paid." I'd be interested to see a source for that and I would also ask why "under the counter payments" were liable to tax and NI
