But where.how. when/why has been most influential down time? Motown? Beatles and the Liverpool thing. Elvis/Chuck/Roy etc for rockabilly Pistols.dammmed for punk I would give examples for Jazz, Rap, Hip hop etc but i don't know any. Apart from m and m What about rock, new wave etc?
Sometimes I just like watching random music videos that are not from main stream artists or that are educational on youtube. Understanding people's own individual take on songs and the lessons they put up, or just covers of songs. Much like the piano guy I used to put up.
I do that, i just type in a band or a song, let it run. The random stuff that comes up, sometimes is great. Lot's of stuff you;ve never heard before.
I'm like brb in that sense. I prefer to watch relatively unknown singers/buskers. I've put this one up before. I also like these guys
Yup. Sometimes I search for different takes on songs, some will copy the original artist, others will give you a simplified version, but the best ones are sometimes the ones that give you their own individual take on it. You can't neccesarily replicate a band or the added vocals. For example with guitar, you might be trying to replicate an electric to acoustic, not always easy, much like trying to replicate an artist that plays piano on to a string instrument. I like to explore the different techniques. and without those different techniques it can become very repetitive.
Yes, it's the pivotal scene in the movie. You'd really like it I think. John Goodman plays this permanently angry, Vietnam vet, called Walter. It's a very funny film.
I went through a spell when I liked 90s American rock groups. Post Seattle grunge. One of the biggest groups at the time were actually British, Bush. They were huge in the US.
The Seattle stuff had a big influence on me. Rock music had become tedious and plain silly at that point and all of the sudden this angry angst filled sound comes from the US. Brilliant.
