Tom Ince off to Derby...

Big Mac obviously rates him but he has gone to a club in the division below for under £5 million. I don't know about others but I'd rate him above Sameobi, Obertan and maybe a few others from what I have seen from him. Has bags of potential. Unless they are convinced we are getting Thuarvin (sp?) why have we let that happen?

Didn’t rate the guy, then McLaren took him to derby and the kid scored 11 in 18 and even in the championship, that’s a really good record especially as his still young. It seemed like they knew how to get the best out of him and there’s definitely a bit of class there, he just needs to hone it in.
I reckon we were interested, but what can Newcastle offer nice over Derby? We just can’t compete with teams of that size, they probably offered him more than 10k a week and we just aren’t in the business of paying players that type of crazy money!

Unsure. Certainly better than those mentioned. At one stage he looked great but then lost his way. You'd have to bank on mcclaren's ability to squeeze what he did after him last time. Talented but bit of a luxury, we had that with hba, there is no such role in modern football is the problem

 

Don't think he's been a target for a few years now, but I agree that he's better than some that we have on our books.
