you know you've lost it when you reply to one of your own threads. i did it once and immediately felt guilt ridden and unclean. welcome aboard sammy.
I'd go and see those birds if they were performing with donkeys but is it just me or is the female voice remarkably bland to the extent of being unlistenable except in the odd few exceptions e.g.: Franklin, Warwick, Springfield, Harry, Sioux, Styrene and Subversa?
You talking female vocalist in general? There have been many great female singers - Ann Wilson, Stevie Nicks, Natalie Merchant to name just a few. Also -
I just feel the majority of female singers have a weak and uninspiring voice. Winehouse was pretty good, Adele - I can't believe how many records she's sold, quite tuneless. Stevie Nicks had a good voice.
Exhibit A m'lud, nearly pissed myself:
Adele is popular because she writes good songs (although, to be fair, she does sing better than me) - on quite a few of them I much prefer the various youtube covers though.
